You can search for products in a number of different ways.

‘Product Search’ only requires a keyword about the product and is usually best if you want to browse a number of options. The product search is accessible via all pages on the web site and all you need to do is enter a keyword(s) for the product you’re looking for and click SEARCH. Keyword(s) can be a Farnell part number, a manufacturer’s part number, a manufacturer’s name, a product description or a combination of all of these.

The ‘Advanced Search’ feature lets you specify more information and is useful when you want to go directly to a particular item.

If you have too many possible matches, the results will not be immediately displayed and the site will ask you to select the category you want. This will ensure you only get relevant results and allow you to quickly find the right items. At any time in the search process you can choose to see the current result by pressing the “show all results” option.

Product categories are broken down into sections in much the same way a physical catalogue would be. This means that you can navigate to items by selecting what type of product it is. This can be refined further until you are happy the results are going to be specific enough. At any stage when browsing, you can view the current results by pressing the “show all results” option.
