RJE1Y cable assemblies are offered in a variety of colors, lengths, and boot styles with speeds up to 10 Gigabit Ethernet. The RJ45 plugs have injection-molded kinks to protect the cable and wire. There are three main strain relief styles: non-booted, bubble boot, and latch boot. The boot offers protection to the locking tab on the RJ45 plug which prevents it from being damaged. These styles are well-suited for usage with frequent insertions and extractions. The bubble boot is suited for environments with a lower need for disconnection, while the latch boot is easier to disconnect and can fit in smaller spaces. The cable jacket material is UL CM rated with standard PVC or low-smoke-zero-halogen (LSZH). A full range of cable shielding options is available. The double-shielded versions are suited for protection against harsh EMI/RFI conditions. Applications include communications, data, consumers, medical, industrial and instrumentation.
