The 4-640440-2 is a 12-way 1-row Economy Power Connector Assembly with matte tin-plated copper alloy contacts. The wire-to-board connector comes with red nylon housing and locking lance. Accepts 22AWG discrete and ribbon cable wire. Only one wire to be terminated into an IDC contact slot. This MTA-100 connector can be used with MTA-100 headers and IDC posted connectors. Benefits derived from the MTA-100 system include increased quality and ease of handling such as one-step assembly, no wire stripping, no contact damage, reduced wiring errors, simpler tooling, simple maintenance and repair.
