Product Overview
AD4000 high accuracy, high speed, low power, 16bit, Easy Drive, precision successive approximation register (SAR) analog to digital converter (ADC) that operate from a single power supply, VDD. The reference voltage, VREF, is applied externally and can be set independent of the supply voltage. The AD4000 power scales linearly with throughput. Easy Drive features reduce both signal chain complexity and power consumption while enabling higher channel density. The reduced input current, particularly in high-Z mode, coupled with a long signal acquisition phase, eliminates the need for a dedicated ADC driver. Typical application includes automated test equipment, machine automation, medical equipment, battery-powered equipment, precision data acquisition systems and instrumentation and control systems.

- Throughput: 2MSPS, INL: ±1LSB max and DNL: +0.5LSB
- Guaranteed 16bit, no missing codes
- SNR: 93dB at fIN = 1KHz, VREF = 5V, THD: −115dB at fIN = 1KHz; -95dB at fIN = 100KHz
- 89dB SINAD fIN=100KHz, -0.5dBFS, VREF=5V and oversampled dynamic range 96/123dB for OSR=2/1024
- Greatly reduced input kickback and First conversion accurate, no latency or pipeline delay
- Fast conversion time allows low SPI clock rates, input overvoltage clamp protection sinks up to 50mA
