Product Overview
AD7679 is an 18bit, charge redistribution SAR, fully differential analog-to-digital converter that operates on a single 5V power supply. The part contains a high speed 18bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, an internal reference buffer, error correction circuits, and both serial and parallel system interface ports. Typical applications include CT scanners, high dynamic data acquisition, geophone and hydrophone sensors, Σ-Δ replacement (low power, multichannel), instrumentation, spectrum analysis and medical instruments.
- 18bit resolution with no missing codes
- No pipeline delay (SAR architecture) differential input range: ±VREF (V REF up to 5V)
- Throughput: 570KSPS and INL: ±2.5LSB max
- Dynamic range : 103dB typ and S/(N+D): 98dB typ at 2KHz (V REF = 4.096V)
- Parallel (18, 16 or 8bit bus) and serial 5V/3V interface
- On-board reference buffer
- SPI®/QSPI ™/MICROWIRE ™/DSP compatible
- Power dissipation: 76mW at 500KSPS, 150μW at 1KSPS
- 48 lead LQFP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
