Product Overview
AD7687 is a 16bit, charge redistribution, successive approximation, analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that operates from a single power supply. It contains a low power, high speed, 16bit sampling ADC with no missing codes, an internal conversion clock, and a versatile serial interface port. The device also contains a low noise, wide bandwidth, short aperture delay track-and-hold circuit. The SPI-compatible serial interface also features the ability to daisy-chain several ADCs on a single 3-wire bus and provides an optional BUSY indicator by means of the SDI pin. Typical application includes battery-powered equipment, data acquisition, instrumentation, medical instruments and process control.
- Throughput: 250KSPS at VDD = 4.5V to 5.5V
- INL: ±0.4LSB typ, ±1.5LSB max (±23ppm of FSR)
- Dynamic range: 96.5dB, SNR: 95.5dB at 20KHz and THD: -118dB at 20KHz
- True differential analog input range: ±VREF, 0V to VREF with VREF up to VDD on both inputs
- Single-supply 2.3V to 5.5V operation with 1.8V/2.5V/3V/5V logic interface
- Proprietary serial interface: SPI/QSPI™/MICROWIRE/DSP compatible
- Daisy-chain multiple ADCs and BUSY indicator
- Power dissipation: 1.35mW at 2.5V/100KSPS, 4mW at 5V/100KSPS and 1.4μW at 2.5V/100SPS
- 10 lead MSOP package
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
