Product Information
Product Overview
AD7904 is a 8-bit, 4-channel successive approximation ADC. It operate from a single 2.7V to 5.25V power supply and feature throughput rates up to 1MSPS. The conversion process and data acquisition are controlled using CS and the serial clock signal, allowing the device to easily interface with microprocessors or DSPs. The input signal is sampled on the falling edge of CS and conversion is initiated at this point. There are no pipeline delays associated with the part. The device feature four single ended analog inputs with a channel sequencer to allow a pre-programmed selection of channels to be converted sequentially. The conversion time for the device is determined by the SCLK frequency, which is also used as the host clock to control the conversion.
- Power dissipation is 6mW max at 1MSPS with 3V supplies, 13.5mW max at 1MSPS with 5V supplies
- Signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) is 49dB min at (AVDD = VDRIVE = 2.7V to 5.25V)
- High speed serial interface: SPI/QSPI™/MICROWIRE™/DSP compatible
- Shutdown mode is 0.5µA maximum
- Full power bandwidth is 8.2MHz typ
- Conversion time is 800ns max at (16 SCLK cycles with SCLK at 20MHz)
- Linearity error is ±0.2LSB
- Operating temperature is −40°C to +85°C, packaging style is 16-lead TSSOP
