                      Product Overview

                      The DS1845E-010+ is a dual non-volatile (NV) potentiometer and memory in 14 pin TSSOP package. This device consists of one 100 position linear taper potentiometer, one 256 position linear taper potentiometer, 256bytes of EEPROM memory and 2-wire interface. It provides an ideal method for setting bias voltages and currents in control applications using minimum circuitry. The EEPROM memory allows a user to store configuration or calibration data for a specific system or device as well as provide control of potentiometer wiper settings. Any type of user information may reside in first 248bytes of this memory. The next two addresses of EEPROM memory are for potentiometer settings. Access to this EEPROM is via an industry standard 2 wire bus. The wiper position of DS1845 as well as EEPROM data can be hardware write protected using write protect (WP) input pin. Up to eight DS1845s can be installed on a single 2-wire bus. The DS1845 operates from 3V or 5V supplies.

                      • Supply voltage range from 2.7V to 5.5V
                      • Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
                      • Access to data and potentiometer control via an I2C compatible 2-wire interface
                      • One 10K, 100 position and one 10K, 256 position linear taper potentiometers
                      • External write enable pin to protect data and potentiometer settings
                      • End to end temperature coefficient of 750ppm/°C
                      • Operates from 3V or 5V supplies and active supply current of 0.5mA
                      • Wiper current of 2mA and -3dB cut off frequency of 1MHz
                      • Wiper resistance of 500 ohm at 3V and 250 ohm at 5V
                      • End to end resistance of 10Kohm and resistance tolerance of ±20%
