                      Product Overview

                      MAX22518AWA+ is a dual-channel digital galvanic isolator with an integrated field-side supply. The field-side power is supplied by the logic-side using an integrated isolated DC-DC converter. This approach eliminates the bulky and expensive external isolated power supply when the power demand of the field side is small. It features basic isolation with a withstand voltage rating of 3.5KVRMS for 60s or 445VRMS of continuous operation. It provides compact, reliable, and cost-efficient solutions for applications such as industrial IoT, industrial networking systems, and building automation. Both sides of the isolators are powered from a single 3.0V to 5.5V supply on the logic side, which also sets the output logic level. Both channels of the device transfer data from the field side to the logic side and are always enabled. It is used in applications such as industrial IoT, industrial networking systems, building automation, and medical equipment.

                      • Integrated isolated field-side supply, integrated galvanic digital isolation
                      • 3.5KVRMS isolation voltage for 60s (VISO), 445VRMS continuous working voltage (VIOWM)
                      • Logic-side supply voltage range from 3V to 5.5V
                      • Common-mode transient immunity is 50kV/μs typical at (VDDL - VGNDL = 3.0V to 5.5V)
                      • Propagation delay is 80ns typical at (VDDL - VGNDL = 3.0V to 5.5V)
                      • Pulse width distortion is 20ns maximum at (VDDL - VGNDL = 3.0V to 5.5V)
                      • Peak eye diagram jitter is 10ns typical at (1Mbps, VDDL - VGNDL = 3.0V to 5.5V)
                      • 3500VRMS isolation rating, high impedance OUT-L DEFAULT, open drain OUT-L TYPE
                      • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C, 8-pin wide SOIC package
