                      Product Overview

                      The MAX3272AETP+T is a 3.3V, 2.5Gbps low power limiting amplifier in 20 pin TQFN package. It accepts wide range of input voltages and provides constant level output voltage with controlled edge speeds. The device includes power detectors with programmable loss of signal (LOS) indication, an optional squelch function that mutes the data output signal when input voltage falls below a programmable threshold and an output polarity selector. The MAX3272A exhibits excellent jitter performance and has low power dissipation feature current mode logic (CML) data outputs that are tolerant of inductive connectors. It is ideal for low power, compact optical receivers. It is typically used in gigabit Ethernet optical receivers, fibre channel optical receivers, system interconnects, 2.5Gbps optical receivers and SONET/SDH receivers.

                      • Supply current of 33mA
                      • 5psP-P output deterministic jitter, 3psRMS random jitter & 90ps edge speed (15mVP-P <lt/> VIN ≤ 30mVP-P)
                      • 2.2mVP-P output signal when squelched
                      • Low frequency cut-off of 0.9MHz (CAZ = open) and 1.5KHz (CAZ = 0.1μF)
                      • CML output interface and selectable output polarity
                      • Differential input resistance of 100 ohm
                      • Power supply noise rejection of 30dB (f ≤ 2MHz) and input referred noise of 220μVrms
                      • CML output voltage of 750mVP-P (LEVEL open, RLOAD = 50 ohm)
