The S18AW3D is a 3-pin AC voltage Diffuse-mode Photoelectric Sensor with thermoplastic housing and acrylic lens. The S18 series 29821 sensor provides protection against transient voltages. Light operate output conducts when sensor sees its own (or the emitter's) modulated light.
