Product Information
Product Overview
The PCW IDE COMPILER supports the Microchip PIC 12bit and 14bit opcode PIC10, PIC12, PIC16 MCU families. The complier provides a complete, integrated tool suite for developing and debugging embedded applications running on Microchip PIC MCUs and dsPIC DSCs. This suite includes an IDE for project management, a context sensitive C aware editor, build tools and real time debugger helping developers create, analyze, debug and document project code. The IDE allows developers to manage every aspect of their embedded software development, from code creation through device programming. External programs can be invoked from the IDE, simplifying integration with other programmers and debuggers. The heart of this development tool suite is the CCS intelligent code optimizing C compiler, which frees developers to concentrate on design functionality instead of having to become an MCU architecture expert. Maximize code reuse by easily porting from one MCU to another.
- Built in libraries that work with all chips for RS232, I/O, I2C, discrete I/O and precision delays
- Serial I/O functions allow standard functions such as GETC() and PRINTF() to be used for RS232
- Formatted printf allows easy formatting and display in HEX or decimal
- Multiple I2C and RS232 ports may be easily defined
- Assembly code may be inserted anywhere in the source and may reference C variables
- Automatic #fuses configuration
- Microcontroller clock speed may be specified in a PRAGMA to permit built in functions to delay
- Functions such as INPUT() and OUTPUT HIGH() properly maintain the tri state registers
- Compiler directives determine if tri state registers are refreshed on every I/O
- Generation Of multiple HEX files for chips with external memory
