Newark Adds New Test Equipment from Pulse Research Lab and Specialty Extech Instruments

CHICAGO (May 19, 2005)

Newark, the leading small-quantity distributor of electronic components and test equipment in North America announces an exclusive distribution franchise agreement with Pulse Research Lab to carry its one-of-a-kind Signal Buffering and Translation Modules. Under a separate agreement with Extech Instruments, Newark now offers its newest specialty test and measurement equipment, plus has access to its full line.

"No other electronics catalog distributor offers our range of brand name test equipment," said Jeff Shafer, senior vice president, product, Newark. "We are pleased to further enhance this offering for our design engineer and procurement customers with the addition of these unique devices."

Pulse Research Lab of Torrance, CA manufactures self-contained modules that connect between pieces of equipment to quickly and easily solve compatibility problems in testing, experimentation, and systems integration applications. The modules translate between normally incompatible logic families, fan out digital signals from one source to multiple locations, receive weak digital signals, and can transmit signals cleanly over distances up to 200 feet.

Extech Instruments, located in Waltham, MA, is a leading brand in the test and measurement industry, with a reputation for innovative, high quality test instruments at affordable prices. Among its new products stocked by Newark are: multimeters and clamp meters with built-in infrared thermometers, psychrometers, sound level monitors, paperless humidity and temperature chart recorders and photo/contact tachometers.

The Pulse Research Lab and Extech lines are available on the www.newark.ca website, or by calling 1.800.4.NEWARK (463.9275).
