Product Information
Product Overview
AD7631 is an 18-bit, charge redistribution, successive approximation register (SAR), architecture analog-to-digital converter (ADC) fabricated on Analog Devices, Inc.’s iCMOS high voltage process. The device is configured through hardware or via a dedicated write-only serial configuration port for input range and operating mode. The AD7631 contains a high speed 18-bit sampling ADC, an internal conversion clock, an internal reference (and buffer), error correction circuits and both serial and parallel system interface ports. The AD7631 features four different analog input ranges. Power is scaled linearly with throughput. Typical applications include process controls, high speed data acquisition, digital signal processing, spectrum analysis and ATE.
- Multiple pins/software-programmable input: +5V (10Vp-p), +10V (20Vp-p), ±5V (20Vp-p), ±10V (40 Vp-p)
- Pins or serial SPI-compatible input ranges/mode selection and no pipeline delay (SAR architecture)
- Throughput: 250KSPS and INL: ±1.5LSB typ ±2.5LSB max (±9.5ppm of FSR)
- 18bit resolution with no missing codes
- Dynamic range: 102.5dB, SNR: 101dB at 2KHz and THD: -112dB at 2KHz
- iCMOS® process technology and power dissipation: 73mW at 250KSPS, 10mW at 1KSPS
- Parallel (18-/16-/8-bit bus) and serial 5V/3.3V interface
- SPI-/QSPI™-/MICROWIRE™-/DSP-compatible
- 48 lead LQFP package
- Operating temperature range from -40 to 85°C
