We offer a wide range of split core ferrites (snap ferrites) from various manufacturers. Examples include:

Fair-Rite split core ferrites use their snap-it products. Round cable snap-its can easily accommodate round cables or bundled wires with diameters from 2.5 mm (.100'') to 25.4 mm (1.000''). These assemblies are available in four ferrite material classes to suppress differential or common-mode conducted EMI from 1 MHz into the GHz region. The polypropylene cases meet the RoHS restrictions of hazardous substances and have a flammability rating of UL94 V-0. Round cable snap-it assemblies are controlled for impedances only. Minimum impedance values are specified for the + marked frequencies. The minimum impedance is typically the listed impedance less 20%.

Many of the snap-it parts have round core equivalents.

The Würth Elektronik WE-Star-gap range of ferrites for RF applications uses a reliable flexible cable fixing, developed in-house. With air gap of 0.8 mm, it is the worldwide first split case ferrite with a "defined air-gap". It is especially helpful for EMI problems in the frequency range of 100 MHz up to 1.0 GHz; Data signals up to 100 MHz will not be affected. It offers best performance (impedance) with two windings.

The parts feature low magnetic saturation of the material in high DC current applications; this gives a low reduction of impedance.

The pre-fixing cable system facilitates the assembly process. The products have cable clamping protection and an internal security locking system with key technology. WE-STAR-KEY (safety key) prevents unauthorised removal from the cable. There is one key in each packaging unit.

The plastic housing is classified to UL94 V0 and has an operating temperature of –25 °C to +105 °C. The core material is NiZn.
