S01-05-R

The S01-05-R is a SolderSleeve™ Shield Terminator designed to make an environment-resistant shield wire-to-wire termination on cable. Transparent, heat-shrinkable insulation sleeve constructed of radiation cross-linked polyvinylidene fluoride. S01 series without ground lead meets the performance requirements of SAE-AS83519 (MIL-S-83519/1). The M83519 (S01) series terminator contains a colored thermochromic temperature indicator that exhibits a distinct color change when surfaces have reached wetting temperature. This color change gives both manufacturing and Quality Control an aid in the inspection of the completed termination.

TE Quality Alert (26-004): Supplier found its RA2 flux was misclassified as ROL1 since 2020. Independent testing confirmed it is ROM1. Products using RA2 flux don’t meet ROL1 requirements but remain compliant where ROM1 is acceptable.
