Hall Effect Proximity Sensors:

2 Products Found

Newark offers an exclusive range of Hall effect proximity sensors with detection ranges from 1 mm to 70 mm. These sensors are available in various output options and configurations, such as PNP and NPN, with supply voltages ranging from 2.7 V DC to 30 V DC.

Hall effect proximity sensors are widely used across various industries, including automotive (throttle position, vehicle speed sensor, accelerator pedal position, etc.), consumer electronics (smartphones, laptops), process industries (tachometer pickups, position detectors, rotary encoders, etc.), and medical electronics (flow meters, BP monitors). These sensors are non-contact electronic devices that use a permanent magnet or ferromagnetic part as a triggering intermediary alongside a Hall effect sensor IC.

The Hall effect sensor IC detects changes in the magnetic field when the permanent magnet approaches it, generating an electric signal. This signal is amplified to control the sensor's output signal. To learn more about proximity sensors for industrial applications, please read our comprehensive guide for proximity sensors.
