DS620U+T&R is a digital thermometer and thermostat. This device communicates over a 2-wire digital interface. For distributed-sensing applications, it is multi-droppable with three address pins that allow upto eight DS620s to operate on a single bus. This device has thermostat functionality with user-defined thresholds stored in EEPROM registers, and it can be configured for standalone thermostat operation. The programmable output (PO) pin serves as the thermostat output, and this pin can also be configured to function as an active-low control for peripheral devices. It is used in applications such as portable applications, low-voltage temperature-sensitive applications, computers/servers, test equipment, medical instruments, and industrial applications.
- Thermostatic settings are user-definable and non-volatile
- Standalone thermostat capability, data is read/written through a 2-wire serial interface
- Low-voltage operation range from 1.7V to 3.5V
- Thermometer error is ±0.5°C maximum at (0°C to +70°C)
- EEPROM write cycle time is 10ms maximum at (-40°C to +85°C)
- SCL frequency is 400KHz maximum, input capacitance is 10pF typical
- Rise time of SDA and SCL is 1000ns maximum
- Fall time of SDA and SCL is 300ns maximum
- EEPROM data retention is 10years minimum at (-40°C to +125°C)
- Operating temperature range from -55°C to +125°C, 8-pin μSOP package
