What's better than a single LED? Lots of LEDs! A fun way to make a small display is to use an 8x8 matrix. Matrices like these are 'multiplexed' so to control 64 LEDs you would normally need 16 pins. This single PCB enables you to simplify your project using the i2c bus and removes the requirement for lots of GPIO pins.
- Built in clock to multiplex the display
- Constant-current driver for ultra-bright, consistent colour
- 1/16 Step display dimming, all via a simple I2C interface
- Matrix backpacks come with three address-selection jumpers
- Connect up to eight 8x8's together on a single I2C bus
