LT3081IDF#PBF

LT3081 is a low dropout linear regulator designed for rugged industrial applications. Key features of the IC are the extended safe operating area (SOA), output current monitor, temperature monitor and programmable current limit. This device can be paralleled for higher output current or heat spreading. The device withstands reverse input and reverse output-to-input voltages without reverse current flow. The current reference architecture makes load regulation independent of output voltage. This device is stable with or without input and output capacitors. It is widely used in application such as all surface mount power supply, rugged industrial power supply, post regulator for switching supplies, low output voltage supply, intrinsic safety applications etc.

• Output current is 1.5A max
• Input voltage range is 1.2V to 36V
• Output current monitor: IMON = IOUT/5000
• Output adjustable to 0V
• Output voltage noise is 27µVRMS typ
• Parallel multiple devices for higher current or heat spreading
• ISET load regulation is –0.1nA typ, line regulation is 1.5nA/V typ
• Reverse-battery and reverse-current protection
• SET pin current is 50µA typ
• Operating temperature is –40°C to 125°C, packaging style is 12-lead plastic DFN
