                      Product Overview

                      The MAX9939AUB+ is a SPI programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with input VOS trim and output op-amp in 10 pin µMAX package. This general purpose, differential input PGA is ideal for conditioning variety of wide dynamic range signals such as those found in motor current sense and sonar data acquisition applications. It has programmable differential gains from 0.2V/V to 157V/V, input offset voltage compensation and an output amplifier that can be configured either as a high order active filter or to provide differential output. The gain can be programmed to be 0.2V/V, 1V/V, 10V/V, 20V/V, 30V/V, 40V/V, 60V/V, 80V/V, 119V/V and 157V/V. Although the MAX9939 operates from single supply VCC between 2.9V to 5.5V, it can process signals both above and below ground due to use of an input level shifting amplifier stage. It is used in sonar and general purpose data acquisition, differential to single ended conversion, differential input, differential output signal amplification and sensor interface.

                      • CMRR of 60dB at -1V ≤ VCM ≤ VCC - 2.2V and PSRR of 80dB
                      • Automotive temperature range from -40°C to 125°C
                      • 3.4mA of quiescent supply current at 5V and 13μA software shutdown mode
                      • Optimized for high signal bandwidth, 2.15MHz gain bandwidth product & 9V/μs slew rate
                      • Precision resistor matching provides extremely low gain tempco and high CMRR
                      • Integrated amplifier for R/C programmable active filter
                      • Settling time of 0.45μs (to 1%, 2V output step)
                      • Input protection to ±16V
                      • Gain error of 0.05% and gain temperature coefficient of 2.2ppm/°C
                      • Input offset voltage of 1.5mV with no VOS trim at TA = +25°C
