Product Overview
MCP3202-BI/P is a successive approximation 12bit analog-to-digital (A/D) converter with on-board sample and hold circuitry, with SPI serial interface. It is programmable to provide a single pseudo-differential input pair or dual single-ended inputs. Communication with the device is done using a simple serial interface compatible with the SPI protocol. The application includes sensor interface, process control, data acquisition, battery operated systems.

- On-chip sample and hold, SPI Serial Interface (Modes 0,0 and 1,1), low power CMOS technology
- Single supply operation range from 2.7V to 5.5V
- Standby current is 0.5µA typ (CS (active low) = VDD = 5.0V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Operating voltage range from 2.7 to 5.5V (TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Standby current is 0.5µA typ (CS (active low) = VDD = 5.0V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Throughput rate is 100ksps max (VDD = VREF = 5V, TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Resolution is 12bits (TA = -40°C to +85°C)
- Gain error is ±1.25LSB typ (TA = -40°C to +85°C, VDD = 5.5V, VSS = 0V)
- 8LD PDIP package, industrial temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
