The 172249-0100 is a SolderRight™ male right angle direct solder In-line Mount Terminal made of brass with matte tin plated finish. This 172249 series terminal accepts 16 to 14AWG wire. It mates with solder straight to PCB. The SolderRight™ direct-solder terminal is ideal for tight packaging constraints, low-profile terminal enable right-angle connections onto a PCB at a low applied cost. From laptop computers to handheld devices, electronic systems, products and packaging are becoming exponentially smaller. Until now, users were forced to either solder a bare wire into a PCB or bend it over (resulting in poor reliability and a higher-profile termination) or use a two-piece connector system.
