NRP18S.02

The NRP18S.02 from Rohde & Schwarz is a three path diode power sensor for USB operation. This power sensor is a self contained, fully characterized instrument. It can be operated with NRP2 base unit with a laptop/PC via USB and with many Rohde & Schwarz instruments (eg. signal generators, signal and spectrum analyzers and network analyzers). It is ideal for universal applications and three path concepts uses three separate diode paths each operated in the optimum detector range. As a result, the average power can be determined with high accuracy independent of the modulation type. Measurement results are hardly affected by interfering signals or harmonics. This power sensor therefore behaves in a way similar to thermal power sensor but offer significantly higher speed. It provides up to 93dB dynamic range with an excellent lower measurement limit of -70dBm and also sensors provides a USB high speed interface which constitutes both the communication port and the power supply connection.
