                      Product Overview

                      AD8332ACPZ-R7 is a dual-channel, ultralow noise linear-in-dB, variable gain amplifier (VGA). Optimized for ultrasound systems, it is usable as a low noise variable gain element at frequencies up to 120MHz. Included in each channel are an ultralow noise preamp (LNA), an X-AMP® VGA with 48dB of gain range, and a selectable gain postamp with adjustable output limiting. The LNA gain is 19dB with a single-ended input and differential outputs. Using a single resistor, the LNA input impedance can be adjusted to match a signal source without compromising noise performance. The 48dB gain range of the VGA makes this device suitable for a variety of applications. Excellent bandwidth uniformity is maintained across the entire range. Applications include ultrasound and sonar time-gain controls, high performance automatic gain control (AGC) systems, I/Q signal processing, high speed, dual ADC drivers.

                      • 130MHz typ -3dB small signal bandwidth at (VOUT = 0.2V p-p)
                      • Slew rate is 650V/µs typical at (TA = 25°C)
                      • Input voltage noise is 0.74nV/√Hz typ at (RS = 0 ohm, HI or LO gain, RIZ = ∞, f = 5MHz)
                      • Quiescent current per channel is 27.5mA typ at (TA = 25°C)
                      • Power dissipation per channel is 138mW typical at (TA = 25°C)
                      • Operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
                      • 32-lead lead frame chip scale package (LFCSP)
