                      Product Overview

                      HMC792ALP4E is a 0.25LSB GaAs MMIC 6-bit digital attenuator. This versatile digital attenuator incorporates off-chip AC ground capacitors for near DC operation, making it suitable for a wide variety of RF and IF applications. The dual mode control interface is CMOS/TTL compatible, and accepts either a three wire serial input or a 6bit parallel word. This versatile digital attenuator incorporates off-chip AC ground capacitors for near DC operation. The dual mode control interface is CMOS/TTL compatible, and accepts either a three wire serial input or a 6bit parallel word. It also features a user selectable power up state and a serial output port for cascading other Hittite serial controlled components. Typical applications are cellular/3G infrastructure, WiBro / WiMAX / 4G, microwave radio and VSAT, test equipment and sensors.

                      • Typical insertion loss is 1.8dB (Vdd=+3V, DC - 3.0GHz frequency)
                      • Typical attenuation range is 15.75dB (DC - 6.0GHz frequency, Vdd=+3V)
                      • Typical input power for 0.1dB compression is 22dBm (0.05 - 0.15GHz frequencies, TA=+25°C)
                      • Typical switching characteristics is 110ns (Vdd=+3V, tRISE, tFALL, 10/90% RF)
                      • Typical supply current is 2.1mA (DC - 6.0GHz, frequencies, TA=+25°C)
