Product Overview
The XTOB057DC1 is a 57A Overload Relay Device that monitors the current going to the motor. The overload relay is designed to take a contactor offline in the event of an over-current situation. Overload relay is selected based on the desired ampere protection level for the motor. When selecting overload relay, it is important to be sure to match the overload frame size with the contactor frame size, so that the overload will mount correctly to the contactor. The overload relay has a current range that is set to the appropriate protection level by adjusting the dial on the face of the overload relay. It is best to select an overload that has a range where the desired full load current setting is in the middle to lower portion of the range if possible, especially if the exact full load current is unknown.
