The MAX9017AEKA+T is a dual precision nanopower comparator with reference in 8 pin SOT-23 package. It has beyond the rails inputs and operates down to 1.8V. An ultra low supply current of 1.2μA makes the MAX9017 as ideal device for all 2 cell battery monitoring/management applications. The unique design of output stage limits supply current surges while switching which virtually eliminates the supply glitches typical of many other comparators. This design also minimizes overall power consumption under dynamic conditions. The MAX9017 has push-pull output stage that sinks and sources current. Large internal output drivers allow rail to rail output swing with loads up to 6mA. It is typically used in ultra low power systems, threshold detectors/discriminators, window detectors, telemetry and remote systems, sensing at ground or supply line.

- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- Internal 1.236V ±1% reference
- Input voltage range extends 200mV beyond the rails
- Crowbar current free switching
- No phase reversal for overdriven inputs
- Internal 4mV hysteresis for clean switching
- Power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 0.1mV/V at VCC = 1.8V to 5.5V
- High to low propagation delay of 7μs at VCC = 1.8V and 6μs at VCC = 5V
- Low to high propagation delay of 11μs at VCC = 1.8V and 28μs at VCC = 5V
