E1

The E1 is a 16-channel Digital Optomux Brain Board for serial and Ethernet networks. It is an Ethernet-ready I/O and communication processor for digital I/O systems. Designed as a drop-in replacement for serial-based B1 brain board, the E1 supports both serial and Ethernet networking and multiple simultaneous protocols. It is designed for customers needing to upgrade existing Optomux systems to use Ethernet networking while preserving existing I/O racks, modules and field wiring. When Ethernet networks are used, E1 I/O unit also supports Modbus/TCP clients, custom Optomux applications migrated to Ethernet, custom software applications written using memory-mapped OptoMMP™ communication protocol and applications using PAC Project™ software. Because the E1 can use these Ethernet-based protocols simultaneously while still communicating with an existing Optomux software application via a serial network, E1 greatly expand your options for controlling and monitoring your I/O system.
