The AC164134-2 is an PICtail/PICtail Plus Daughter Board for demonstration and development of MRF24J40MB 2.4GHz IEEE Std. 802.15.4 20dBm RF transceiver module. Wireless communication technologies have been common place in homes and industry for many years. Recent Smart Grid initiatives have created a renewed demand for standardized, low data rate, low power, wireless technology in present market. As a result, many IEEE 802.11, IEEE 802.15.4, Bluetooth and ZigBee standard solutions along with proprietary MiWi protocol for both 2.4GHz and Sub GHz to address this need. The daughter board can plug into multiple demonstration and development boards. For example, for 8bit microcontroller development using the PIC18 Explorer Board (DM183032) or 16bit microcontroller development using the Explorer 16 Development Board (DM240001).
