The MAX5421BEUB+ is a digitally programmable precision voltage divider for digitally programmable gain amplifier (PGA) configurations in 10 pin µMAX package. The device operates from single +5V supply or dual ±5V supply and consumes only 3μA supply current. It consists of digitally selectable resistor array that provides four precision non-inverting gains of 1, 2, 4 and 8 for PGAs. The MAX5421B achieves a resistor ratio accuracy of ±0.09% and includes an on-chip matching resistor for op amp bias current compensation. It is typically designed for general purpose programmable non-inverting amplifiers.
- Positive supply voltage range from 4.75V 5.25V and negative supply voltage range from 0V to -5.25V
- Operating temperature range from -40°C to 85°C
- CMOS/TTL logic compatible 2-wire parallel interface
- High terminal of resistor divider (H) to low terminal of resistor divider (L) resistance is 15Kohm
- Input resistance at high terminal of resistor divider (H) is 15Kohm
- Input resistance at resistor divider output (W) is 300 ohm (VSS = -5V) and 500 ohm (VSS = 0)
- Switching time is 0.5μs
- Positive supply current of 3μA (D1, D0 = VDD or GND) and 15μA (D1, D0 = 3V)
